Cómo ver museos en NYC sin pagar (casi)

En algunas de las entradas que he ido publicando habéis visto que a veces voy a museos sin pagar: el Guggenheim, el MoMa, el de Historia Natural,... No siempre se trata de la suerte, sino de una buena documentación. Y esto es vital para todo viajero si quieres ahorrarte unos cuantos dólares mientras haces turismo.

Os copio aquí una lista con las ofertas especiales de museos de Nueva York que he sacado de New Yorkology. La información está en inglés, y la lista es válida hasta final de 2011. A partir de entonces, visitad esa web para tener la lista actualizada.

Museum of Modern Art - Free 4 to 8:30 p.m. (normally $25)  ------> Es enorme, así que aprovechad todo el tiempo que podáis. Hay desde clásicos como Las señoritas de Avignon o la Noche estrellada hasta exposiciones más contemporáneas.
Whitney Museum of American Art - Pay-what-you-wish 6 to 9 p.m. (normally $18) 
Morgan Library & Museum - Free 7 to 9 p.m. (normally $15) -------> Una pasada.
 Museum of Arts & Design - Pay-what-you-wish 6 to 9 p.m. (normally $15) 
New York Aquarium - Pay-what-you-wish donation 3 to 5 p.m. (normally $14.95) ------> Está en Coney Island, contad con bastante tiempo para el desplazamiento.
 International Center of Photography - Voluntary contribution admission 5 to 8 p.m. (normally $12) -------> Es interesante, pero yo me esperaba algo más.
